Entering supplier records saves you time if you work with the same suppliers regularly. You can record their details which can then be recalled whenever you enter your purchase transactions. Supplier records help you to manage discounts and ensure you make payments on time.
This window shows all of your supplier accounts and associated balances. You can use the options in this window to create and manage your supplier records. You can customise the window so that the information that is most important to you is immediately visible using configurable columns and you can filter the records that appear in this list by using a search.
To access the Suppliers window> Modules > Suppliers.
New Supplier |
Create a supplier account record using the Supplier Record wizard to guide you through the process. |
Supplier Record |
Opens any supplier records you select in the list. If no records are selected, a blank supplier record opens and you can create a new supplier record. Find out more. |
Price List |
Use price lists to record different prices offered by certain groups of suppliers. |
Activity |
View the transaction history on a supplier account. This is the same information as stored on a supplier record Activity tab. |
Aged Balances |
Manage the debt you owe your suppliers by ageing transactions. Ageing is part of credit control in Sage Accounts, which you can make use of when deciding which suppliers you should pay. Find out more. |
Batch Invoice |
You can use batch invoicing to record purchases |
Batch Credit |
Use this option to record credits from your suppliers. |
Disputes |
Accounts Plus or Accounts Professional only:Use this option to mark transactions as disputed until a query is resolved. This can be useful when managing supplier payments. |
Labels |
Generate labels detailing your suppliers' names and addresses. |
Letters |
Sage Accounts includes a standard letter to tell your suppliers about an address change. |
Reports |
You can view, print and edit supplier reports using the Report Browser. |
